Meet Pauliina Ståhlberg, executive director of the Helsinki International Film Festival, the force behind Finland’s biggest film festival, Love & Anarchy. With a career spanning cultural leadership, film production, and international cultural exchange, Pauliina understands the transformative power of cinema, not just as art, but as a tool for connection and change.

At TEDxVaasa 2025, she’ll explore how the simple act of watching films in a theater can impact your perspective, creativity, and even the world around you.

Pauliina Ståhlberg is the executive director of the Helsinki International Film Festival, which includes the biggest film festival in Finland, called Love & Anarchy.

She is experienced in managing cultural organizations and is an expert in cultural export, having served as the former Director of the Finnish Cultural Institutes in Madrid and London.

She is also an audiovisual producer whose best-known series is the Nordic Noir police series Deadwind/Karppi for Netflix. In her free time, she watches films, scuba dives, and trains in karate.
